Website Video Playhead - DNeX FMP300

This cutting-edge Flash application lets you put a fast, small and reliable playlist-driven FLV video player on your website. It can play FLV tracks from anywhere on the Web and is available in many different designs to suit your site layout. For only a few dollars you get the SWF files, XML templates, full instructions and the fully-editable Flash-8 sourcecode.

Draftlight's DNeX Group designs rich-media delivery systems for the music and movie industry, and our Flash playheads are used by labels and studios across the world, with hundreds of millions of plays per year. The FMP300 series on these pages is your opportunity to use some of the same technology on your own site!

The demonstration playhead shown here uses the iChrome design, and will time out. Press 'refresh' on your browser to reload the page when it expires, and you'll also see the Skipjack™ system in effect! Designs purchased from our catalog are not time limited and can support an unlimited playlist plus display sizes up to full screen (100%x100% in the Flash Object code).

Moving your mouse over the video panel will bring up the control menu, and track status information is given in the on-screen display. All our designs are scaleable - you can change the dimensions of the playhead panel to suit your video files, just by changing the code on your webpage. The playhead automatically centers or scales video to fit the panel size you've chosen.

Why use FLV video files?

FLV video is designed for website delivery. Compression is excellent, giving smaller video files and better performance for users on a slow connection, but it has some of the best video and audio quality available. FLV will play on any operating system that supports Flash - Windows, MacOS, Unix/Linux, even mobile devices. Delivering your video in FLV means over 95% of visitors will be able to see it without downloading any extra software.

Registered owners of the Flash 8 IDE already have software that can create or edit FLV video files, and there are many third-party applications available on the Web that can create or convert files into FLV - some even for free. Converting out of FLV is a lot harder to do, and since there is no native playback for a downloaded file in Windows or MacOS, filesharing networks tend to avoid posting FLV files. While your content is still cached, it is less attractive to illegal sharing and trading networks.
