On this page you'll find the basic designs of our world-famous FMP256 website music playhead. These provide fully-functional playback of MP3 files for a website, with playlists, shuffle and pause, track skip and multi-line LCD displays. For the majority of websites these designs will deliver all you ever need, but for the full range of advanced functions and dynamic options see our Pro Catalog.

All playheads include our world-leading Skipjack Engine as standard, and are supplied with full sourcecode.

Pick a design

The FMP256 playhead comes in a wide range of designs to suit your site, just choose from the pictures below. Remember that as we give you the source code files, if you have the Flash Pro 8 IDE you can redesign the layout. The images below are actual size, and the edges of the playhead are transparent so they will work with any color website! Basic users will not need to edit the source files, so you can use the playhead without needing a copy of the Flash IDE. Please note that we do not support legacy versions of Flash.

Some playheads on this page support skins and color changes, allowing you to change the color scheme and underlying graphics without needing a copy of the Flash IDE!

Design 3 (RackMount)

Flash Flash 8, 400 x 25 pixels.
SWF 42 kb, player 8 or above.

A slim rackmount design for slipping along the border of your page or in a frame, with crystal-clear displays and a skinnable case (inbuilt silver and black designs or an external image). Photoshop masters for the skin provided.

Design 4 (Palm)

Flash Flash 8, 120 x 100 pixels.
SWF 56 kb, player 8 or above.

Square design based on a popular pager, with large LCD display and a skinnable case (inbuilt silver and black designs or an external image). Photoshop masters for the skin provided.

Design 6 (EyeToons)

Flash Flash 8, 400 x 70 pixels.
SWF 19 kb, player 8 or above.

Modelled on the iTunes user interface, with all standard features and crystal-clear LCD display. Includes tooltips. This design does not support skinning or color changes. JavaScript Dynamic Reflow allows the playhead to be collapsed into a compact mode while rearranging your webpage to fit. The initial width for normal mode can be anything from 400 pixels to the full screen width - the playhead adjusts itself to fit. Other versions are available in our Pro Catalog.

Design 7 (HUD)

Flash Flash 8, 200 x 60 pixels.
SWF 28 kb, player 8 or above.

A semi-transparent playhead with advanced <color< tag support. Minimally-invasive and can be placed over a page background image. Wider dimensions set in the HTML code will scale the playhead accordingly so a longer title can be displayed without scrolling.
